Our little man just turned two and this was a gift for his birthday. He loves cars, trucks, etc. and we were hoping this would make his transition into the big boy bed easier. He has done really well with the bed and I am glad we purchased it. We had read the reviews and were wondering just how bad the stickers were going to be - and they live up to their reputation. Even with two of us the big body stickers are impossible - there is no guide and once they touch the car they are on there so be careful. We ended up with a few creases and far from perfect but obviously doesn't bother the little man.

OMG first of all I have to say this is so adorable! you won't be disappointed! The only thing that little tikes doesn't tell you is that you need to be prepared to buy a slab of wood when you purchase it. you have to dial little tikes toll free # to get the measurments of the wood. I paid about $17 for the slab of wood that I needed cut. I think it was about 51 X 29 and 3 inches in depth. anyhow, after I got the wood cut and wraped it with a blanket cause you have to expect about a 3in gap from fram to mattress to be exposed so no splinters. and that's about all folks. Other than that what I've found is that a lot of ppl are putting pillows on one side to compinsate for the space between. but all n all it's a fun bed and so is the bigger twin size lightening mcqueen bed. although the gaps are not fun use pillows and later I hope this nothing that ends up getting recalled because those gaps, to me, just shouldn't be there. it's easy to c how a little one might hurt him or herself in the process of playing or jumping from bed to bed. Gotta protect out children. It's nice to have but you as a parent have to make it safe enough for them to play and sleep on it even though the Makers don't.

My son absolutely loves his Cars toddler bed. We co sleep and he still nurses to sleep and this bed is so cool to him he'll actually will fall asleep on his own in it most nights. He never wanted to sleep in his crib when we converted it into a toddler bed - this bed was a different story. He also loves playing on his bed, he loves tracing the sides of McQueen with his die cast cars, like they are roads. More money than I wanted to spend on a toddler bed but seeing how well it's worked out and how much my son is in love with it I'd pay double.
The stickers and body itself are holding up quite well (I was worried the stickers would get peeled off by a kid who's trying to fall asleep but bored and picking at them). It was a breeze to put together but I'll echo what everyone else has said - the stickers are a pain in the rear to apply. Not impossible, though, and didn't take nearly as long as a lot of other replies seemed to quote. Definitely apply them when the car is in pieces as you'll need to be able to maneuver and manipulate each one so the sticker application goes smoother...BUT leave the wheel stickers (the center of each tire) for last!!!! You're going to have to screw the wheels into the car body and don't want to rip the sticker doing so. In summary: once the stickers are on, put the car together, then apply those inner tire stickers you set aside for last. Then just watch your kid freak out with delight.

The packaging and sales information I had clearly says that you need to separately buy a plywood insert for the bed. So, I am amazed by some of the reviews. Anyway, the bed is awesome, and a perfect transition from the crib to a bed, because it is only a about a foot off the ground. It is easy for my son to get in and out of the bed by himself, and I didn't have to worry about him falling out at night. Plus, it is a car, so he went wild for it.
